Replays showed it was a dive, it was one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen, he has bought into the 'we're Man U, at home we can get away with what we like' story. I deteste him.
as if shearer never dived in his career. They all do it!

if he was promised something it was 2 weeks ago when Villa let in 5 against Liverpool!

Great move by Shearer. He's knows he is in a win/win situation and I think he will go at the end of the season no matter what happens.

Why do you think he waited so long to step into the frame when he's been approached loads of times? He doesn't want to ruin his legacy. This was he gets to keep his 'local hero' tag.

Then he can go back to doing what he does best - sniping from the sidelines and basking in glory.

If Newcastle goes down, the new manager may at least have the luxury of the ghost of Shearer removed from around his neck...

Villa didn't do much wrong - those goals were conjured out of nothing, and would have been scored against any team in the world.

Villa are a good side, and might be regarded as "unlucky" not to get a point yesterday, but when the pressure's on, they are not exactly adept at doing a good Fort Knox impression.

and don't forget it was hardly United's strongest line up. Missing yesterday were

Ferdinand, Vidic, Scholes, Hargreaves, Berbatov, Rooney, Rafael, Brown, Anderson.
