Truly horrific and tragic....

What hope it might lead to some clampdown on companies using untrained drivers, unsafe vehicles and failing to instil and enforce even basic safety standards?????

The truck's brakes failed. No, it wasn't fit to be driven on the road. You must have seen the states of some of the trucks tyres especially.

Shocking.

I saw immediate aftermarth of a similar one about five years ago on the Al Ain truck road. One big truck full of earth stopped, the one behind didn't - cab completely obliterated.

To think many times i nearly get run off the road with my little Mitsu number.
the guys are driving trucks on that road well past 80.

the driving checks and regulations need to come into sharp focus.
Heart goes out to the families....

Not really picked up by the International Media. Would this perchance be because the dead are Bangladeshis and Indians?

Had there been just one Brit on that bus, it would have been all over the UK media. (Ditto other countries.)

Those poor guys. Sounds like some had a really horrible death. Also very sad for their families who depend on the wages they send home.
