You may not like the music, but you are totally wrong with the global stature of DM - with over 100 million album sales and one of the biggest audience pulling acts around.

They are world class.

Interested to see who the other 2 big acts will be.

Their lead singer will be 51yo on Thursday, bless him. Yes I am older than that but I don't earn my living by prancing about on a stage pretending to be Justin Bieber.

If I remember you were quite excited about Deep Purple playing here...

Well nor does he and even for you that's a silly comment. You're just annoyed that the tickets will be more than the AED 100 or so the IV charges - and you are ever willing to pay for anything. Oh and of their earnings too.

Having long grey hair and playing a guitar for a living is so much more dignified than singing and waving your hands around...

Dave Gahan is immortal. He died for a while before they managed to resuscitate him I believe. He's nicknamed 'The Cat' because he keeps surviving.

The only band that have meant I'll be considering going to the Grand Prix since it started here in Abu Dhabi. Saw Depeche Mode 25 years ago so reckon it might be about time to see them again. Looking forward to it already.

I don't think it's a perm, I think it's natural?

Well I, for one, am utterly stoked! Never saw them in my youth but LOVED them. It will be an amazing concert and tailor made for the slighlty sad, middleaged ones, who still like to bounce around to live music and with the cash to go to the F1. Get in.

Finally happy to fit the mould, it'll be a fantastic night, with pretty much anyone I've ever met in AD there.

I was there 10 years and only wanted to go to one concert

Once I leave Stone Roses and Depeche Mode come...., I gave my grand prix ticket away every year too, I'd have suffered it to see Depeche Mode and the fact mentaltits won't be there is a bonus

Thankfully I've got tickets to see them in Leeds in November
