Re: 2nd Hand Land Rover LR3
DO NOT BUY A LANDROVER
i am a landrover owner, if you are asking this question then you are not right for a landrover it WILL break down it WILL cost a fortune to fix stuff the garages that can help are bloody expensive and utterly random in the quality of their work. Walk away and look at something japanese |
Re: 2nd Hand Land Rover LR3
Ahhhh Landrovers, keeping mechanics in business since the start of time!
Don't get me wrong I love Landies and have had several 90's and 110's, however, they should only be considered as a enthusiasts toy or proper expedition vehicle. If you need / want reliability then look elsewhere. With regards to an LR3, who knows! If they can't get a ladder chassis with a shell and ancient engine attached to work for any length of time who knows how long a complex computer driven machine will last. |

Yep, just confirming all the horror stories I have heard, but I do really like them.
Thanks one and all for your replies |

I'm hoping to order a Twisted 110 V8 come the end of the year, had a test drive a few moons back and am totally besotted!
Does that make me barking? |

Re: 2nd Hand Land Rover LR3
Make sure it's done more than 20,000km, and less than 100,000 km and is less than 5 years but more than 2 years old.

No point shelling out loads in repair bills with a half hearted Landie, Get a RR, enjoy the ride, relish the pain to come. Consider it like going to a very expensive madam in London to be caned within an inch of your life Great ride, much pain, empty wallet afterwards Enjoy |
