Does anyone know of any volunteer organizations in St. Lucia. I'm looking to get involved and be of service to the community.

Are you associated with any churches in the community? They are usually knowledgeable about volunteering opportunities, at least in the US... There is a group called The Good News Project that works in the north of the island with a girl's home that I can't think of the name...maybe someone local will be able to help with that. I believe that there are Rotary groups on the island also that offer opportunities to help in the community. Which community are you closest to? P.S. did you ever import furry friends?

Thank you for replying to my post about volunteering. I appreciate your excellent suggestions. The Good News Project sounds interesting as I worked with a girl's orphanage in Mexico.
Our furry animals won't be imported for several months, but we've got all of the information we need to bring them in.

I have worked with Global Volunteers, look them up on the web. Are you already in St Lucia - in which case I can give you a local number - let me know.
