I guess the machinations of politics and the sorry state of the economy generally leave us speechless. Same old same old and probably best that way.

I notice that real estate asking prices for motivated sellers now seem to have near halved in the last couple or so of years, though it is not clear that halving will motivate a buyer to step forward.

There is still plenty of money sloshing around in some quarters, as evidenced by the brand new Audis that clog the highways, but it is not exactly clear where the money comes from to pay for them, what with the banks accumulating ever-larger reserves for doubtful receipts/collections and companies reorganising by severely cutting back as the civil service is also now looking to do :confused:, after a fashion. Maybe auto lending is the only (legal) game in town.

Quo fata ferunt. Otherwise, we await the findings of the Vision Commission LOL!
