Hello pgtips, nice to hear from you. All is going well but feeling rather lonely, trying to make friends but coming from London does not make things easy. I have family here however they live in country, and we have little in common, not having grown-up with them. I am in Gros Islet not far from Cap Estate. brownsugar53 I am hoping to relocate to the island in the next year or so with the family. I will be near Gros Islet also. We will have to organise barbecues for all the expats and have the occassional get togethers. Did you buy or build ? What made you chooses St Lucia and has the new mall and marina expansion helped with easing you into caribbean life ? Hopefully the rest can give a little introduction also.

Another member Pistolpete2 suggested joining the yatch club in the marina. They are suppose to be a friendly bunch and accept non yatching members.

Hi PGtips, I bought the land 11 years ago and a contractor built my house, unfortunately because I was not on the Island, it was not built to my specificatio, but it is ok. My house has been built over 10 years and remained unoccupied. The new mall and marina are very nice and have uplifted the area. Brownsugar53

Brownsugar53 you built your house over 10 years ? Wow !!! I bought a plot 6 years ago to build on but have not started yet. You can recieve PM's now so I will message you. You may well be a neighbour.
