Pilots Girlfriend!

Hello All

I am currently a UK based private jet flight attendant. I work for solely for an owner on his aircraft. I hold a private pilots licence and I'am considering continuing my studies sometime in the future. My boyfriend is a private jet pilot, his company here in the UK went into administration just before christmas. He may be offered work in St Lucia, a pilot friend of ours has just joined a company my boyfriend has been in contact with out there... we have said how lovely it would be to go for a few years.

I have just started to do my research and I would like some information on what a person like me might be able to do out there? I'm not qualified save in experience in the hospitality industry.(restaurant, airline & private jet) Does anyone think there may be opportunites open to me? if not can I join him as a non working companion? Or must you work to reside?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Lauren.

I would say that your opportunities are going to be restricted to private jet flight attendant or similar and that you would need that work permit unless you pay as you go with your passport being stamped every six weeks or so and paying a fee for this. Several years of this would be a push.

You would have to be married to a work permit-holder or own property here for it to be any different.

LEGALLY, that's the only way to play it.
