Default Paty as you go broadband in St Lucia

Does anybody know if there is a pay as you go mobile broadband service in St Lucia ? I just want to be able to plug in a dongle into my laptop and roam.
Anybody using this rather than visiting internet cafes whilst on short breaks of about a month or so ?

Hey PG,
I think LIME/C&W/whatever they are calling themselves now, do a payg. Maybe worth checking with them. Not sure about digicel.

Failing that, most of the hotels now have wifi access and rituals coffee in the blue reef centre has free wifi for customers.

HTH

PG,

(s)LIME and Digicell both have PAYG cards but there is no real data service here. It's only GPRS not 3G so performance is awful and expensive. Your best bet is to use free WiFi at bars and restaurants. There are stacks of them offering it for free, especially where you hang out up in Rodney Bay.

We regularly used WiFi connections in Rituals Rodney bay and Spinnakers and there are a few places at the marina..although the marina ones tended to be more difficuklt to connect to and slow if there were a few sailors using live streaming video links to yachts in the atlantic
