Expats looking to sell successful GuestHouse in St Lucia
 

My family are looking are looking to sell their Guesthouse. The business is well established and originally part time run until my parents took "early retirement", went back to St Lucia and are now busier than ever (Guests are predominantly Canadian, British, German, American, Caribbean)

I'm aware that most expats or investors are looking for property's on the beach, which this is not. However the Guesthouse is in a safe and popular neighborhood, walking distance to the beach, Marina and restaurants. It will appeal to those looking for a future retirement income or for expats returning to St Lucia. It has brought great joy to my parents however the time has now come to sell it on.

Does anyone know of websites or groups that have an audience with followers interested in this type of opportunity? I am completely flummoxed! All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi, this is a 10 bedroom block of 3 apartments. The majority of guests come from North America, Carribbean and Western Europe. Size of property is 5180 sq feet. Please let me know what other information you would require.

Best to use a reputable agent for this kind of thing. I hope it went well. On a side note property often takes a long time to sell in St Lucia especially if you want to get a good price for it.

Can you advise whether the Guesthouse has the advantage of concessions regarding tax? I know this is not normal in the Rodney Bay area but concessions can sometimes be obtained.

Properties can take a long time to sell in the Caribbean.
