Re: Train Travel to Luton Airport
Personally I would try to avoid London/London Underground, but it isn't easy to get to Luton otherwise. The best I found was changing in Crewe and Derby to get to Milton Keynes, but that still leaves an hour on a bus to get to Luton airport, which is hardly ideal, but IMO probably better than a tube ride.

Will suggest taxi from Euston to St Pancras and then train.

Easyjet are flying but fares are "sky-high" ! Taxi from Euston to Luton would be ok for group with luggage. A bit pricey for a single passenger. Thanks for all this advice.

Yes
We have gone for train from Glasgow to Euston then train from St Pancras to Luton. Daughter is making the trip. While she is an experienced traveller, she is suffering from Bipolar mood swings. I would go with her but I am restricted because of my medical "issues" (Dialysi s every second day) At the moment I am in a category that is subject to "Shielding". I should not go out at all.
Easyjet has flights Glasgow-Luton but they are all sold out. No cross-border coach travel.
Thanks to all for suggestions

Liton Airport is f fine if u r in the Home Counties. Not so convenient if coming from Scotland or the North.

Re: Train Travel to Luton Airport
Luton Airport is not a convenient airport even if you do live in the SE - connections are poor, even to London, and branding it as "London-Luton" is just a bad joke - if Luton is in London, then so are Reading and Chelmsford.

Passenger got there in one piece. Found St Pancras confusing and the train link to Luton equally so. With the coming recession and resultant drop in air traffic, perhaps they can close all those peripheral airports and just have one ?

Good
The problem with that is that they (airports around London) are not under common ownership. If one (or more) goes bust, then consolidation could happen, or airlines might choose to abandon one, which would presumably precipitate the airport going bust, but so longer as airlines like Sleazyjet choose to base themselves at cheaper aiports, such as Luton, then there will remain a number of competing airports around London.

Totally irrelevant and no use to the OP, so fits in on BE. Your ICON reminded me that Clarksons ran the North London Air Terminal on the Finchley Road, from which they bused their passengers to flights at Luton Airport.
