The removalists picked up my 4 boxes and 2 guitars yesterday so that is my wordly possessions off into the ether which gives me 10-12 weeks to get meself sorted and into a place....

I've decided to buy a static in the short term so i can take my time finding the right pub that i want to live near whilst taking an extended holiday through europe (2 years should do it)...:rofl::rofl:

The missus/er indoors/she who must be obeyed, is still driving me nuts due to her being the worlds greatesy worrier. 'course, me cracking a tinnie and smiling at her probably doesn't help...:thumbsup:

Sounds exciting, tooling around Europe for two years!!! I have one question though: what do you do about healthcare? Will you have a permanent address in the UK and sign up for a GP?

Absolutely, I am planning on buying a static home down south (Cornwall maybe) which will be my base in England during the nice weather.:rofl:
Apart from which, there is a healthcare treaty between NHS and Medicare which covers the basics until i get signed on.

Just gotta hope i don't get pregnant in the meantime, course as a 56 year old, very ugly fellah that should na happen....:fingerscrossed:

Here are some tips for you while you are on the road (I must say I am very tempted to do this myself - and I think the OH would be more than up for it too): http://internationalliving.com/2013/...t-on-the-road/

It would be very interesting to see that person's budget. How much is spent each typical month, and on what.

Safe travels my friend...as I'm reading your post you're already up in the air and as soon as I've finished this I'm going to plug into Flight Tracker to see exactly where you are. Hope you and the missus have a great flight..find the nearest pub and sit back for a wee dram or two. :)
