Default Royal Visit To Scotland, December 2020

Not universally welcomed. See my friend Gerry Hassan commenting

The Great Big Lie of the British Royal Family - Gerry Hassan - writing, research, policy and ideas

Not all are critical - Nicola Sturgeon refuses to comment on Prince William and Kate's Royal Scotland trip during lockdown - Daily Record

Lesley Riddoch: Reports of royal Scotland trip show ignorance of London bubble | The National

Lesley has a better understanding than those Royal Advisors in London.

Good piece by Gerry Hassan. Thanks. He really is an excellent writer. I’m an unapologetic monarchist, but I can see the validity of Hassan’s argument. I’m a bit behind with The Crown, just watching Series 2, mid 1950s, it is enjoyable to watch, but I think the whole concept is flawed - a drama about still-living people, some of the incidents of which are true, some completely fictitious.

The news that Lord Louis Mountbatten wanted to have a coup d'etat against Hraold Wilson has come as a surprise to those who are not well-informed.
