Re: OVER 50's+ MOVING BACK TO THE UK - Part II
Yes CONGRATULATIONS on your flight home, u must be so excited, and yes just like jemima said PLEASE PLEASE bring some sunshine, or at least some dry weather, I think we over here have forgot what sunshine looks like, but I do remember seeing a short glimpse of sunshine a couple of months ago, but it just briefly shone through a big dark cloud for about 5 minutes and that was all she wrote

We had sunshine all weekend here in my area. It was great luck because this weekend was the Great Knaresborough Bed Race! We went along with some friends and had a blast. Then yesterday it was so nice that the four of us tried sitting out in the garden and decided it was too hot! Today is grey again but that blast of nice weather was lovely

Am in Hereford. at my brother & SIL's. Re the rain, after being cooped up on the plane + 3hrs. in the car, the fresh air/rain felt wonderful.
Am in & out of jetlag. Managed to get into town yesterday for a coffee, in the medieval church of All Saints. Love the atmosphere & a big + NO loud 'music' (:
Just down the road is the Cathedral, where one can enjoy a quiet coffee in the cloisters, or on a sunny day venture into the chapter house garden.
This am. I woke up around 4am - couldn't understand why the Blackbirds were singing & it was still dark. Of course it was the start of the dawn chorus, complete with Mr Cuckoo who didn't take a break for 15 mins!

For the first few weeks, I woke up every day at 3:30 because of those d*** birds The cats woke up up too and went nuts for about an hour, chasing round the house and running over the bed (and us!) Now we're all used to it and can actually sleep through it, but it took some getting used to.

Be very careful, or you will have us all wondering why, so many are coming home back to the dreary UK! ( Have to blame the Gov for this weather.)
