Many many thanks for putting the time and effort into compiling all that information. I'm sure plenty of folks (including me) will find it very helpful indeed.

Thank you so much everyone
What lovely warm wishes from you all. I am headed for the Scottish Borders, where I was born and bred. Can't believe it is only a couple days now. To say I am excited is an understatement
I actually leave on my birthday, so I am giving myself one of the best birthday presents I have ever had

We will be moving to the borders when we come back in September, we really like Kelso and surrounding areas.

Add me to the list of leavers - only 3 more weeks to go! Still lots of bitty things to do, have the car to sell but other than that, all furniture sold or given away, all documents scanned and saved on disc and flash drives. Very nervous - I have been in the USA for 23 years now, feel Americanised but still very homesick for the UK.

I totally agree with you Dontheturner, it is a disgrace that pubs like that should close down, they should be preserved it is part of the history and culture of England. Too many historic buildings are being pulled down, when you look at Brittany and Normandy in France and other parts of Europe who have preserved their buildings it is a shame to see the uk/ireland destroy theirs
