I can understand the floods, but why does a cemetery bother everyone ?

Not bothered by cemetery per se, just about what could potentially happen if one flooded??

There are a lot of people who just wouldn't like to live surrounded by dead bodies, irrational, but true.

Price, price,price.
Look beyond the couch. No garden that I can find. I don't think there is any central heating, just the stove and a heater. No double glazing. Price, price. I'll take it!

Middleham Castle was the home of Richard III, the "Yorkshire King". Many of the houses in the village were built with the stone looted from the castle after it fell into ruin.

after living in the same neighborhood for 11 years and only knowing 2 of my neighbors. I feel like I already live near bunch of dead bodies. So living near cemetery would be no issue for me..

As they say in Yorkshire, "it is not the dead you have to worry about, but the living".

This house/chapel has literally been on for sale for years (ie about 4 years at least from my memory). It is about 8 miles from where my house is.

The interior is quite large and characterful (there used to be interior pictures too).

There are gravestones on the front lawn. Not sure if the bodies have been re-interred anywhere else.

I don't think it would put me off, but I think my wife would have something to say about that

She is moving to Essex to be near her son and his family, though much to her displeasure because of age and health reasons, will be downsizing as well. Possibly to a bungalow.

My brother did the same last year, from a converted barn in a Warwickshire village, to a regency terrace in Leamington Spa.

Indeed they are which shouldn't be allowed. While looking around the lower end of the market in London last year I came across the stats that 75% of sales in that city was to overseas with a lot from the Far East.

So Londoners look set to have absentee landlords, some who have will never step foot in the country, while they find it hard if not near impossible to get into the market.

Doesn't seem quite right to me as nor does it that Chinese and other foreigners are permitted to store up the housing market here in Australia.
There will come a time here when the dollar declines a similar percentage of foreign purchases could well be the order of the day.
