Thanks very much love I am feeling better already, funny how they did nothing for years but started this crap just before I'm due to leave! Its because they are cowards who never would have started this if I was staying as they know I would have come down so hard on them cos they stuff up all the time lol!

Today I just watched some DVD's, had a nice soak in a bubble bath and packed up all my work stuff into a box - which was quite satisfying. I'm refusing to dwell on this, I just think in a few months time I will have a happier life with a fab job and they will still be here, still whining, bitching and moaning and someone else will be the target of their venom!

Just what I'm always saying...

PS: Guess your "friend" won't be able to use you as a reference for a job in the UK then. Karma at work already, haha

Big Boss has now actually stepped in and said enough is enough and told them unless they all want to face a charge of bullying and harrassment to back off.

They are not going to do anything as the comments were mainly joking and I'm gone in 2 weeks time however after 5 awful years here its taken its toll and I have been signed off work with stress for my final shifts. Not the way I wanted it to end but I need to protect myself as I can't give the bullies a chance to ruin any future employment prospects as I'm finding it very hard not to lash out both verbally and physically.

The weird thing is that the girl who has been the instigator of all this is a young uni grad who wants to work in the UK. I've helped her write her CV, set up a CPD folder and given her advice on how to apply to a UK service. She told my senior manager she was offended by my comments and felt the need to report them. He actually turned round to her and told her he thought her behaviour was despicable and she should be whiter than white in future as he wouldn't forget her treatment of an officer with a perfect service record who was due to leave in two bloody weeks. Hopefully karma will do its thing!

Anyways thanks again for all your kind messages, I will be out of this awful place in 11 days never to return just going to try and relax now and look forward to a bright future. Cheers everyone
Hey Miss Betty,
I too have been reading this thread and living your ups and downs along with you, but I have been promted to post about this appalling bullying you have been receiving. I would really be very tempted to put in a formal complaint about the treatment you have received over the last five years. A long, well thought out letter to the most senior director, penned from the comfort of your flat in Hastings after your return and after securing a new job, might be the way to go .

I do relate, as I was bullied whilst at secondary school and even though I'm in my mid 50's now, I still remember that time and how awful it was. Unfortunately you never forget the bullying of others, but you do and you will have the last laugh. Life has taught me that Karma is truly a B#t*h and just be patient and they will get theirs.

Meanwhile, relax, chill and try to de-stress so that you can really savour the trip to the airport and the journey home. Take care!

Miss Betty,
Hi, I am yet another avid reader of your posts...can't help it when your returning to gods own county (me monicker gives away my birthplace)

As a sussex gal....its not "I just think..." its "I KNOW"!!

and you should rethink your last sentence to be:-
they will still be there, still whining, bitching and moaning...whilst someone else will be targeting them with his venom

Memorable moments in life are made memorable not by the moments but by the people you share em with.

Doubt if you will remember your "colleagues" after six months back home..

Ok well I only have 8 days to go now and the time is flying - hurrah! I just packed all my bags to see if I could fit everything in and I can (just!!!) - yippee! I can't believe I have my life packed into one suitcase, one travel case a small packpack and a handbag!

I can't wait to get well away from Loony Town, even getting to Cairns for my last few days will be awesome!

Had my leaving do with a few close friends last night and we had a mad time, got in at 5 in the morning quite worse for wear ha ha ha!!! I laughed so much and I bumped into so many people - included lots of my patients! So many of them said oh I remember you when you came out to me/my kid/my Mum and you were hilarious and then bought me drinks. Some of the cops were out too and the drinks kept coming, I think its entirely possible I will have a hangover for a week, I may also need a new liver so thank God for the NHS lol!

I'm happy to be leaving this place in a better frame of mind than I've been in over the past few days. My lovely sister is picking me up from the airport next Tuesday, I'll only be home for a day and a half before I shoot off to Amsterdam with my loony mates - I have so much planned and I just can't wait to have a life again woo hoo!!!!

The interview day is two weeks after I get home so I've got plenty of time to prepare, I'm ecstatic and nervous all at the same time - my tummy is doing somersaults right now!
Ohhh, I DO hope you get it!!!! Good luck!!

I'm so glad you had a great time! Always nice to leave somewhere with memories of a happy time, rather than a sad or upsetting one. Yes, god bless the NHS because I think there's a liver here with your name on it. For heaven's sake don't miss that plane because of a hangover..

Looks like a lot of people are going to miss you. Probably have more friends there than you think. Always good to leave with some good memories. Now the real countdown begins! What fun that you'll be tooling off of Amsterdam. You deserve a good holiday. Will be looking for your details on the flight tracker so plug them in soon! xx

So here we are at last folks - my last morning in Loony Town - hurrah! The bags are packed (well squished, pummelled and squeezed to death actually!) and I'm off to a nice hotel for my final 4 days

Finally I am getting out of work accommodation too, I know its been a Godsend and saved me heaps but its become a bit of a nightmare recently. When I am here on duty the station phone and/or radio goes off morning, noon and night and when I am off duty Gay Boss is here and same same - feel like I've not had a decent nights sleep in ages.

I've got more news - I now have a total of three job interviews lined up! I'm not sure how I'm going to manage to fit them all in but I guess as Scarlett O'Hara said - I'll think about that tomorrow lol!

Well Gay Boss and I had our final supper last night, a 'bits and pieces' dinner as my Mum would call it made up of all the leftovers in the fridge and freezer. As per usual it was my food, I cooked it, we ate it, he fell asleep in the chair - snoring ha ha! This morning, yep you guessed it, the washing up is still in the sink and as a final gesture I think I shall just wash up too..................nah, only kidding!!!! It can stay there for a month for all I care cos I don't live here anymore woooooooooo hoooooooooooo!!!!!!
