Re: Good news Britain
We saw our first Woodpecker in the garden last week, certainly good news for our little piece of Britain

Re: Good news Britain
There doesn't appear to be much "good news" going on in here at the moment
Lets keep this thread lighthearted vein can we ... no need to get personal or make digs at other people.
Just because we post on a public forum doesn't mean we want to publicly share all of our private beeswax, or situations
Thanks
Heres some good news from the Telegraph:
Good News Britain: CBI lifts UK growth forecasts
I'm loving the pics of all the Union Jack piggy banks

"CBI predicts weak recovery to continue
By Sarah O’Connor, Economics Reporter
The economy is only crawling out of recession and will remain “lacklustre” for at least two more years, according to a pessimistic assessment from the country’s biggest business organisation.
Prosperous London is starting to seem like a “Greek city state” in the middle of this otherwise weak economy, said John Cridland, head of the CBI employers’ group.
Although the economy grew unexpectedly strongly in the third quarter of the year, ending the UK’s shallow double-dip recession, the CBI said its members did not feel that a robust recovery was taking root, particularly outside of London and its immediate surroundings."
Funnily enough I was going to lift the multiple Good and Bad news stories from the newspapers yesterday just to demonstrate that in isolation, a good or a bad news story is fairly worthless, if one just selected that one. And to add insult to injury, one has to consider the newspaper before assessing the interpretation on a released chunk of news.

I just get the feeling people over analyse life way too much, just get out there and enjoy it and not worry about how accurate or not a certain economist is.

Re: Good news Britain
What is the overall sentiment and direction - not a bit of good news here and a bit of bad news there.

What words (actually, probably one) do you think Mitt Romney would use to greet the "good" (at least the stock market seemed to like them when they came out) employment figures published in the States this morning?
BTW, you are not the only good person who is at his computer or whatever working.

This isn't about analysis but more about the messenger and as I've been harping on about before:
