Going To The Movies

I have reverted to my youth and go "to the pictures" as often as I can

Tonight -

Darkest Hour (2017) - IMDb

In our local cinema on my wind-swept island. Has anyone notriced how many films are appearing on the theme of "Gallant Britain alone against Johnny Foreigner" ? I wonder who will play Nigel Farage in the film

I'm going to see 3 billboards at the rooftop cinema in the city on Wednesday. I've heard good things about it

I saw that last night. A disturbing film. Maybe small-town Missouri is a disturbing place ?

Haven't been to the 'pictures' in ages but going to see Clint Eastwood directed film later today, the 'true story' Paris train attack. Problem could be that we're going to the Disney Springs location which will be slammed, only because its almost next to the 'House of Blues'

Next week going to "The Post" about the process by which some truth about Vietnam was injected into the US media. Looking at what has been happening in the Middle East, I would say nothing has changed since the Era of Vietnam.

Our village has a film club. This month's film was 'Victoria and Abdul'. Last month it was 'Dunkirk'. Enjoyed both

I have tried theatre and concerts but for me, the cinema is the bestest ! Our local is only £4.75 for a concession ticket. If I buy in advance they guarantee the film will be shown - even if I am the only customer. That has happened. It is a strange experience, being alone in a 100-seater cinema !

My daughter and I liked Victoria and Abdul. But who doesn't love Judi Dench?

Cinemas are too noisy for me, I wait until films are on TV, I can then control its volume.
