But do you ever want to come back for good? Does the homesickness get to that level? I guess it's always easier to think that the grass is greener, but home is always where the heart is. I will make Canada my home and become a good Canuck, but I'll still always be a Yorkshire lass as well!

I'm amazed they got a picture of the train station without some 14 year old girl with a pram face, 3 kids, smoking a tab, in leggings and with a Mike Skinner look-a-like boyfriend standing out front

But seriously Lion Chambers across the street is an even nicer building

Hahaha! It's not that bad! Lion Chambers is lovely, and I do love the station frontage, I just wish the train service matched up to that imposing exterior!!! Where in Hudds are you from LeedsGirl and Eskimo?

For your information, I will be spending Boxing Day completely rat-arsed in the pub because it's my birthday Sorry can't beat Christmas at home but if you come up North before Christmas I'll see you then

I'm from Birmingham but I married a Yorkshire lass so they took away my passport and I had to live in the Peoples Republic of Yorkshire (Scapegoat Hill to be exact) until we moved to LA - I think Huddersfield has some really great buildings and wonderful countryside, in fact until last night when we went for dinner at some friends place high in the hills around LA I had never been to anyones place who had a better view than our old one across the Colne Valley

I went to Salendine Nook High School, infact it's always a highlight showing my nine year old where her mother used to bunk off school in the subway to smoke Lived on New Hey Road, friends all still live around there and Brighouse. It is indeed a small world

I went to Sally Nook High too , I live on the top of the hill, just walk up the path by the Spotted Cow and up to Deer Croft Crescent

P.S. In case you haven't been back in the last few years, they've now bricked up the subway and put in a zebra crossing

Anyway, I'd best be off to bed now, I need my beauty sleep ready for another fun transpennine commute! A cup of tea and a penguin biscuit and then bed. Night, been great chatting, see u on here again sometime!
