As this thread seems to have settled down now, here are a couple of pictures from Henley-on-Thames taken in March this year.

It is sad that this thread was pulled into the mire (again!) by one or two unhappy people. Nevermind. An old friend of mine gave me some great advice once. He said that if someone is nasty toward you, say a prayer for them (or wish nice things for them, hold them to the light, whatever). It is very hard to do (it gets easier...), but it keeps the hate out of you and maybe, just maybe, will help the person resove their own hatred (often self-hatred).

Keep on posting your lovely photos. To retain the flavour of your original post here is my tuppence worth (taken in Chester - one of my old home towns!).

Wow. Thats just by the Catherdral isnt it on St Werburgh Street? I havent been there in a while but the missus and I used to live in Vicars Cross. 1995 we left. In fact it was about on that very spot I had to correct one of our loud mouthed and Hawaian shirted colonial cousins about the "Quaint little chappel".

Those pics can't possibly have been taken in March! Everyone knows Britain has only one day a year in July worthy of wearing sleeveless tops or shorts.

Clovelly is lovely. Now they have closed the high street to cars - you have to park at the top, and it's "walk only" - which is much better.
