You can buy saws in most DIY shops as well.....does that mean people are doing their own amputations?

Those struggling to afford mounting bills are taking their health into their own hands by removing their own teeth with pliers instead of paying trained dentists. Research last year from the British Dental Health Foundation found that one in five Britons said they would remove a tooth themselves or ask a friend to do so if they could not afford dental treatment. And thousands of people across Britain are using DIY dentistry sets to replace loose fillings, caps and crowns. The kits, which cost under £5, can be bought over the counter on the high street with no prescription needed. One DIY pack sold by DenTek, available on Amazon for £3.38, says on the packet “Repair Lost Fillings & Loose Caps”.

I'm sorry, but do you actually believe anything published in that trash tabloid? Seriously?

Sale here in Australia where dentistry really is expensive.

No doubt you can buy them wherever you live as well.

I've never seen one here in Canada.

Dental kits are OK as an interim measure I am sure! I have seen three dentists since I came back nearly a year ago. The first took me on as an NHS patient and then proceeded to tell me very little could be done under the NHS and tried pushing me to let her do cosmetic work on me before she even dealt with necessary fillings! The second was an emergency dentist when a tooth broke just before Christmas. He was great but it cost me! However, the temporary bridge tooth he put in is still going strong. Having been disillusioned with the NHS dentist, I went private and found a lovely one. She does what is necessary and has not pushed me into doing anything more. There are loads of dentists around, especially in London, so shop around if necessary.

Plenty for sale in the US. Do you not have Walgreens in Canada?
