Re: Remember Me
Had a quick rummage...a few viewing options with subtitles but seems to be one of those where downloading for later doesn't take the subtitle option with it. But I'll give it a look.
Just finished episode 2 of Remember Me.
It really reminds me of BBC's ghost stories for xmas that used to be on a few years ago.

I don't usually go in for the spooky stuff but this is really well done, and you can't fault Michael Palin's performance one bit.

I just can't get into The Missing. It's the sort of programme they could have done in a 3 parter!!

No no, I meant not right about having it done in three parts.
What happened in episode 7 just could not be accommodated in 3 parts and absolutely none of it is filler stuff either.
Adding a third period to go with the flitting back and forth between the original two really keeps you on your toes doesn't it?

There wasn't anything to get me hooked. I like all the actors in it but I felt they didn't gel as an ensemble. Just my opinion of course. Can't like all British drama.

Mmm, interesting. Thinking about it now I would have agree with you as far as the relationship between the parents is concerned. But I really don't like that actress anyway. Every other social dynamic seems to work well though, especially between Tony and Julien.

We did see them happy enough originally. Most of it has been bitterness since the kid's disappearance but most of the time portrayed has been since then so it's to be expected. And now they appear to be getting a little closer again, whatever attracted them to each other might be emerging again.
The way many of the locals have changed towards him now compared to back then - like that barman who insisted on being paid for the drinks he gave free before - shows how much he changed...not surprising the relationship changed.
Have you noticed how the husband at the Eden seems to be lingering in the background a lot? I wonder......
