saw 3 part series called AMBER and at first slow going but then improved. The ending was awful - that's all I can say..

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
I have been watching some shows from Channel 4od. Really enjoy George Clarke's Amazing Spaces which is about alternative small builds...everything from Gypsy caravan to storage container. Love their uniqueness.
Also enjoyed a show with Phil Spencer on lobbying shop owners for all the empty spaces above shops and renovated a couple where a couple of homeless people were able to get off the street. (Phil's Empty Homes Giveaway).
... and there's always Location x 3 and Relocation x 3.
Watched an episode of Wallander which was quite good.
Happy to have Formula 1 weekends like this last one!

Place of Execution on ITVPlayer, though originally shown in 2008,was excellent. Love Lee Ingleby and Julia Stevenson.
The Escape Artist with David Tennant was just shown on PBS. Another excellent and quite scary show. Traditionally public broadcasting shows are available on the net. Try here: Video: The Escape Artist: David Tennant on The Cast | Watch Masterpiece Online | PBS Video
Also watched My Boyfriend Murdered Me, a dramatization of a true story. I thought it was surprisingly well done and chillingly real. This happens more often than we would like to believe.
Anybody find anything good lately?

Watched the first episode of An Honourable Woman on the beeb last night. Will have to give it another go before I decide whether I like it or not. Since I am a shop girl myself, I am really enjoying Shopgirls: The True Story of Life Behind the Counter - also on BBC.

We saw a documentary on Dad's Army not so long ago. The OH now loves to go around saying "we're dooooomed!" as often as he can

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
I saw this item in to-days Las Vegas Review Journal newspaper were they were writing about a place there that makes Cornish Pasties.
Anyhow I thought this was interesting.
"Oh, and a piece of Banoffee Pie ($5.50), that uniquely British dessert that puts freshly whipped cream, sliced bananas and caramel on a graham-cracker crust, made a little firmer than usual by the caramel".
Whats this all about? Never heard of it!

No, they are current programs on the BBC and I watch them on their iplayer. You have to sign up for a VPN, which gives you the ability to conceal where you live and allow you to log into the UK. The one I use is called Private Internet Access. Costs about $9 a month in the US.

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
Lots of references to this back in the thread and on others.
A thread search on 'Mediahint' might find you something. It's very simple, free if on firefox but there are other free things that do the same, allowing you to access BBC, ITV and C4.
This other thread covers a few options from simple to complicated.
