Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
for those who have Netflix I am watching a Scandanavian show called "Rita". About teacher who is rather unorthodox. Dunroving might be up your alley..

For those who enjoy Danish and Swedish TV, there are several movies worth a look.
Rembrandt or Stealing Rembrandt being one. Find something you like and then checkout the director or writer on IMDB and you may be surprised at the connections.
There's a series of movies with a journalist called Annika Bengtzon which are very good.

Some good series re-starting - The Village (tonight), and new series of Last Tango, Downton, and Scott & Bailey (soon).
The Mill also re-started recently but I find it a bit too much of a "grim oop north" caricature.
Any others starting up soon that anyone knows about?

What did you all think of Peter Capaldi as Doctor Who? Loved all the Scottish references

I have not watched Dr. Who since the days of Jon Pertwee. Feel I've not missed much and no desire to see latest version..

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
Anyway I have watched it, and it's quality television, excellent plots, brilliant acting, clever funny script writing, and a lot more money to screen it with than back in ye olden days fwiw....and you can't argue with me as you never seen it!

Tiny Tim, or whatever your name is. Who is judging it? I said I would not miss it as I am not interested in the genre of program such as Dr. Who.

That's how I read your post. Maybe Tirytory misunderstood...easy to do when you are not speaking face to face.

I'm tempted to ask, if you don't like the genre, why you ever watched it back then. Maybe you had the hots for Jon Pertwee or Katy Manning.

Dr who, is one of those programs, if it's on in the room, you end up watching it, even if you didn't want to. Sign of a good show, I think!

I watched it cos' had no say in the manner. When you raised with 12 children and told by houseparents what to watch that is what you do. No more needs to be said.
