Time for a new sticky thread
 

Note to Admins:- with more and more negative comments about MM2Hers from the Federal Government, more and more of us will be looking to Sabah and Sarawak. Is it time to create a new sticky thread "SM2H" for those either contemplating an initial application or those wishing to jump ship from Peninsular MM2H to Eastern Malaysia SM2H. A separate thread to share news, views and experiences would be most welcome.

Good suggestion, which I support.

I would be interested to hear experiences from people who have MM2H, and go through the process of getting SMM2H. My current understanding is that you first have to cancel MM2H, which means that you have to leave Malaysia. And then apply for SMM2H, which could take about three months. So you would need to live in another country during this transition period. It would be great if Sarawak allows the procedure to take place while still living in Malaysia.
