Re: mm2h eligibility
Sponsor is required for Sarawak. In Peninsular Malaysia and presumably Sabah:
1) For Independent Applicants the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport acts as the sponsor (though that may now be Home Affairs doing this). In any case, the government. You pay the Personal Bond to them (varies depending upon the country) and they hold it as a lien until you leave the program. Then it's refunded if you've been a good boy. If not they may hold it for the cost of deportation. 2) For those with agents you usually pay the bond over to the agent who then deposits it with the government. It too should be refundable, but check your contract. In this case the Agent acts as you sponsor. So, while in Sarawak you have to shake the bushes to find a sponsor, in the rest of Malaysia either the gov't or the agent will act as the sponsor. |

Read on one agents site that a sponsor is required when applying for mm2h.Is this correct? tegards siskin In Sabah, you can apply ONLY through an agent. MM2H site for the peninsula works fine. You can apply here: MM2H Check N' Track You can use an agent also in the peninsula and here is the list of registered agents for Malaysia, including Sabah: http://www.mm2h.gov.my/index.php/en/...istered-agents |
