This may not interest many BE readers, but who knows? As a former resident of the British-French New Hebrides islands (now Vanuatu), I'm fascinated by what happens to France's French Pacific islands. I bet China is watching closely, too!

The pro-independence party lost, which is bound to cause further problems with the United Nations Decolonisation Committee. We have had problems with that committee of self-servers before, here in Cayman where there is no sympathy at all for the idea of full independence.
