Smile family moving to india, advice needed

We're a family of five with three children (12,10 and 7) planning to move to india for a year in September. We're thinking perhaps of Goa or Kerala. We need to be nearish to an airport and a good school for our kids. Any recommendations? Near a great beach with great cheap houses would be also be handy! Paradise, that kind of thing, is it out there?

You will certainly get paradise in Goa! Can't help you on accommodation for that sort of time scale....it's pretty cheap rent out there though.

Have fun!

Goa is definitely the best tropical paradise in the subcontinent. Lifestyle is great, public transport is reasonable albeit quite crowded, and people are friendly and helpful. You can have a fabulous lifestyle for Rs 100,000 a year.
