Europe/Canada/Australia

Hi all. I have a few questions about these countries but first im going to list some details. Im an american citizen but i would like to move/live some place else with my 2 children. A while back i got into a little trouble with the law and got some federal time.(Please dont ask any personal questions about the case.) It was a non-violent crime, no one was hurt(physically) and it wasnt the worst thing a person can do. I've heard around the way that since its a federal crime i cant set foot in either Canada or Australia. Is this true? And is there any way around this law?

I'd also like to know if this would ever hinder my chances of living some place else in the world, like the UK. Would they tell me no because of my criminal history?

I know there are other threads discussing these coutries but i thought i'd just get all my questions out at once.

Thanx in advance, im really curious about my options.

Each country has its own rules for migration, and few people are familiar with those for more than a couple of countries - you would find the best answers by posting in the individual forums.
