Hi,

I am applying to study in Romania. I live in London, Uk and i am a U.K citizen but i was born in Pakistan so i have birth certificate that was issued in Pakistan.

I need to legalise this piece of document. I've contacted the Pakistani embassy in london but they said you just have to make sure your document has an apostle on it, otherwise they can't legalise the document.

I need to know what exactly is an apostille. My birth certificate is signed and also checked and verified. There are overall three signatures. Is that not all you need to legalise a document?

I'm not familiar with such a term, but I came across this website which describes what an Apostille is. I hope it helps.
