My husband is a Canadian citizen of a non-Irish descent and I am a Canadian permanent resident and a non-EU citizen. I am expecting a baby and would like my child to be born an Irish citizen, i.e. in Ireland. I have sufficient savings to stay in Ireland for a few months and a good world-wide health insurance from IHI danmark. If I arrive in Ireland 1-2 months before my due date and, when asked about the purpose of my trip by an immigration officer at the Irish border, honestly tell the truth="to have a child", how likely would my entry be refused? I am only interested in legal ways. I will appreciate any comments or advice.
Thanks.
