Social welfare question - help!
Hi All
I became unemployed by own choice in March. I applied for JB and was disqualified for 9 weeks, but counted as unemployed. I have followed up the Short Term Enterprise Allowance scheme, and it looks like my business plan will be accepted - have a meeting today with LDA co-ordinator) so I may receive my JB as well as working for myself until September 12th (six months up, even though I've only been in payment since beginning of June due to the disqual. My big question is this - when my JB runs out, I imagine I will not requalify for JA because I am working for myself, not seeking and willing to take up employment? Also i moved to Ireland from UK in October 2012, so I imagine I will fail the HRC on JA by a month... Also, I did get a form last week from the Welfare reminding me that my JB runs out, and to fill it in and send back to apply for JA. Should I do this while setting up the STEA??? Oh very confused! please help!!!! ps work record in UK is full employment, never been out of work since 18, am 42 now...
