There's not a chance - not least because you'd be taking a LHD car and leaving it in a RHD country. It would also not be registered and taxed for use in Ireland.

Hypothetically I suppose you could pay the costs of the car company to have the car repatriated to France, but for the cost involved you might as well book a taxi from France to Ireland. ..... Is there someone who could accompany you from France and take the car back?

Depending on how big the items are you could pack them in layers of bubble wrap and pack them in a much larger and robust shipping box filled with "packing peanuts" and/or airbags, then ship using a courier such as DHL or FedEx. They take better care of things and you get a tracking number so you can follow the progress of your boxes.

Unless the computer is almost new and super-high-end, it may be cheaper to download the hard drive to a memory stick, and carry it in your pocket, then treat yourself to a new computer. You could even remove the hard drive and carry it with you in hand luggage - memory stick + hard drive carried separately would give you "back-up" coverage, or create multiple memory stick copies (memory sticks are dirt cheap) then carry one, mail one, leave one in France in a secure place. The permutations are almost endless.

Yes Europe drive and other expat companies have Renault and Peugeot cars which you can drive from France but drop off in London. I think you must have a non eu passport for this because it is the VAT free rental programme. Good luck!
