Irish Taxes
My wife who is currently a British citizen has just received her Irish foreign birth certificate and is in the process of applying for her first (@ 74) Irish Passport. She is a retired U.K. teacher with U.K. State and Government Pensions. We have been Spanish Residents and Tax Residents for more than 10 years. Her Government Pension is taxed at source in U.K. then in accordance with the U.K./Spain DTT added to her State Pension (paid tax free direct to our Spanish account) to determine her marginal tax rate in Spain where we both pay our taxes. We have no property or assets in Ireland or U.K.
Now that she has dual nationality and will soon be using her Irish passport only for travel between Spain/U.K./Ireland and elsewhere several times a year (we have two Irish granddaughters in Cork and a grandson in Coventry) WILL SHE HAVE ANY FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY IN IRELAND?

Re: Irish Taxes
I would have thought that if she filled the conditions of being habitually resident well only then would she be liable to any form of taxation as Spain and Ireland have a dual taxation agreement.
