Bringing US Spouse VIA UK - Any complications?
Hello, I've been researching/posting on here asking how I would go about bringing my US wife back to Ireland with me, now I know that I simply have to register at the Garda HQ in my county and get her residency card, but one thing I would like to do, obviously US citizens can stay visa free in the UK for 180 days, my wife would like to stay with my grandparents while I'm in Ireland looking for employment, would there be any issue with me bringing her into Ireland via the UK? It seems like a stupid question when I think about it but I wanted to be 100% sure there would be no complications.

I don't see any issues, especially if you find employment. As long as she's allowed to stay in Ireland, it won't make a difference if she' coming from the US or UK. Your best bet is always to ask the immigration office. Home Page
