Default Advice on moving to Dublin

Hi there. As said on a previous thread i started me and my partner are thinking of moving over to Ireland with our two babies. We have been looking on forums and sites and think we would like to stay in Dublin. We know it can be very expensive so have looked into living on the outskirts, so if my partner gets a job in Dublin he can commute.

We have been looking into Longford and just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on good areas in Longford or anywhere else outside Dublin? We would be renting to start off with and probably a budget of around 500 euros per month on rent.

First of all why? Work is thin on the ground.

Anyway Longford is way to far from Dublin I think around 80 miles.

Drogheda is a good bet an hour from dublin and you will get a 3 bed now for around €500.

Navan is around the same distance and rent is around the same price.

Both of these towns are about half an hour from Dublin airport.
