I'm not an ex pat myself but I came across one in meath who is trying to get home to britain but has no money for travel. She is 82 and I'm told the embassy can't help with travel pay. Is there any organistaion that can help her out?

Yes try "Help the aged" a UK based charity who help old people. They might help

There is a project in called the Aisling project http://www.aisling.org.uk/html/new_intro.php which works to get IRISH people back to Ireland from the UK.

I know your lady was wanting to go in the opposite direction, but they might have knowledge of some similar group, or maybe they could even help her themselves.
