Default Canadian Citizen, Canadian Exemption?

Hi All,

I hope this is the correct forum to post this.

I am a Canadian Citizen and also a US Conditional PR. I will be filing for Unconditional PR status next month. That aside... I am not residing in Canada. I was wondering if anyone knew or can point me to a source where I could find out what exemptions a Canadian non-resident, but a Citizen is allowed to bring into Canada when I travel for pleasure. (Would there be a difference for business?)

It is easy to figure this out for my wife who is a US Citizen so it's whatever is written in the books there. The Canadian publications talk about residents and citizens but I'm thinking I would always be allowed to bring in C$750 of goods each time since my stay outside of Canada would be over a week.

Any thoughts?
Ian
