On this page (http://www.uclm.es/cursos/esto/espanol2.htm) it's said
it cost 85 euros.
You should check the price with the driver.

I think there is a new service, is not a taxi, but similar. You could
ask about transport by car in the information counter.

There are, of course, buses to Toledo, and Barajas is now connected to
Madrid by Metro. The problem is that Madrid has several commercial bus
terminals depending on the direction one is traveling, but the
information is not readily available, even on the street in Madrid. I
do know that one of the bus stations is near Mendez Alvaro Metro stop
(the one for Granada & Malaga, I don't remember which other
directions) & the one for NW Spain is one station away, but I can't
remember the name. But in the bus station they can tell you where the
other bus stations are.

Thank you Carlos! In other words 8, 4, 6 to the metro stop of the same
name. When we surface will the bus station be immediately apparent? Looks
easy, possibly easier than Atocha to the less frequent trains? Regards, s

According to their webpage, there's a bus to Toledo every 30 minutes
between 06h30 and 24h00; can't beat that.

Yes, the metro station is that with the same name -Mendez Alvaro-,
there are more than one exit, you have to choose that it says
Estacion de Autobuses, you go into it directly.

The english version of the Renfe is on the upper right, not left.
I don't know if trains to Toledo depart from Atocha station, or from
Chamartin.

Apparently Chamartin is the first of three stops before Atocha Cercanias.
Is Cercanias a specific area of the station? I only see 4
trains/day/Toledo. The times are likely good for me though.

It does seem to be the case

The DB timetable shows 10 trains a day (7 on sunday) at approx 2 hourly
intervals. All seem to start at Charmartin which is the northern end of the
through-city tunnel, so your best bet is to catch the metro from Barajas to
the end of line 8 at Nuevos Ministerios which is also a station on the
through-city tunnel and catch the Toledo train from there.

I thought that you said your arrival was akward for catching an onwards

You will see a bunch of self-servce ticket machines when you enter Atocha from
the lower level. Cercanias trains leave from the platforms directly behind
those machines (you will see hoards of people heading towards the escalators in
that direction). It also has pretty clear signage. But.....

The trains to Toledo start at Chamartin and Atocha is just a commuter stop on
this route. I think your best bet is to take the Metro from Barajas to
Chamartin and take the train from there (you would avoid multiple Metro changes
and rush hour traffic) instead of Atocha or a bus.

There are more trains to Toledo. 10-15, I'd guess.

Either method is fairly easy. Arriving by train in Toledo is probably a bit
more convenient (and the Toledo train station is pretty cool too).
