Wireless connectivity in Amsterdam?
Hi,
I amd headind to Amsterdam in August and I normall check my emails
either by buying time on one of the local internet cafes or by using
my PDA and GPRS mobile phone.
However I now have a wifi enabled pocket PC and was wondering if
there's a list of Free / Cheap wifi hotspots in central Amsterdam that
would allow me to connect to the web and download my email?
I'm currently in the UK and have played around with the Wifi from
starbucks (T-mobile) and was wondering if any of the UK suppliers
(Tmobile, BT openzone etc) have a presence in the 'Dam? save me
setting up multiple accounts?
Anyone used wifi on a Pocket PC while in holiday in Amsterdam?
thanks for any/all advice
Pete

I frequently bring my wifi-enabled laptop to Amsterdam and I've never had
the need for a list. Almost anywhere you stand, you can find a hotspot or
two - definitely within a block's walk. And there are many that make it
clear that the public is welcome to hop on. Some net cafes provide free
access, as do some regular cafes.

Appreciated.. Once again Amsterdam amazes me with just how laid back
it is about things!
