Gord Pope

We will be in the Mosel/ Rhine areas this September. I know there
will be many village wine festivals on the weekends but I can't seem
to find a website that shows a relatively complete list, even for a
specific region. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I will
be contacting the German tourist agencies but perhaps someone knows of
a website and can pass me the URL.

Gordon, I googled up a few with "wine festival" and "German." This one
may fit your schedule, and Trier is right up the valley. I saw
reference to an official German wine festival list, but was unable to
link to it.

"Moselle Wine Festival"
a.. in Bernkastel-Kues, a village near Trier and 70 miles west of
Mainz
b.. first week in September
c.. Special attraction: the town's fountain spews the famous Moselle
wine
d.. over 5000 vintners participate"

probably. Just remember dates are day - month not month - day
