Sorry, I'm not a walker, so I cannot give you specific guidance on the
walking aspect. But I can tell you that there are many bus connections
between Dublin and parts of Wicklow (rail connections, too, but not
along the line of the Wicklow Way). I suspect that you might find the
area around Roundwood, Laragh, and Glendalough particularly lovely.

Lonely Planet has a guide to walking in Ireland,
http://makeashorterlink.com/?A13B54373
Probably worth the investment.

It looks a pretty good log of the trip.
http://www.google.ie/search?q=The+Wi...e+Search&meta=
will give you a lot of great info about the Wicklow Way.
You can't fail to have a good time.

My recollection says by day 3 you're in the middle of nowhere.
However, typing "Wicklow Way" in google gets alot of hits and
many talk of bus service from Dublin to several of the towns
along the way. I'd probably suggest you take a bus out and walk
back to Dublin. That would have you starting at Laragh. This
approach has the advantage that roughly speaking, the Wicklow way
is up hill for several days heading out from Dublin. Heading
back would be to Dublin from 3 days out should have you walking
generally down hill.
