What to see? Germany-Italy-Switzerland
Thank you to everyone for help with routing. I've decided on my route
and now I have few more questions.
I'll be arriving in Ramstein, DE>Kandersteg, CH>autotrain>Goppenstein,
CH>Iselle, IT>Venice>Pisa>Ramstein.
I know what I want to see in Venice and Pisa, but, does anyone have any
suggestions on what to see on the way from Ramstein to Venice?
and now I have few more questions.

Strasbourg and Colmar, along with Freiburg and some of the Black Forest are
natural suggestions. For me, though, this would be Michelin Green Guide
country--you look in the Michelin Green Guide and it uses convenient star
ratings for vistworthiness of different cities and towns, and you can sculpt
an itinerary around it. Breisach on the Rhine turned out to be a family
favorite--but I'm sure there are other places you might find that would be
wonderful discoveries that would make a great itinerary.
The Italy stretch is also awash in possibilities--cities such as Milan,
Verona, Vicenza, and Padua, as well as lake districts around Como and
Garda--any or all of these are great options, with many opportunities for
lovely finds. Beyond the Michelin Green Guide, there are other books that
detail driving tours as well as "off the beaten path" ideas--and these are
not only available at bookstores, but also at public libraries. If you have
a car in these areas, you have an incredible range of options, and
consulting these easy and thorough guidebooks should provide you with a
wealth of possibilities. If it were me, I would photocopy the pertinent
routes, and cobble something together that sounds most enchanting, as there
are myriad great possibilities, and picking among the driving tour
suggestions the guidebooks offer is a can't-lose proposition.

If you're doing it in one day, there won't be time to see anything that
can't be seen through the car window.
