Hello,
As a Brit - and A first time visitor to this group - I would like to
encourage Americans to visit our wonderful country. Certainly you will
receive no bad treatment from us. We are all on the same side
remember!
Also a tip: the British Tourist Authority is being re - named
VisitBritain as of April and they provide a great service to Americans
looking to travel. They will send out great info packs and answer any
question you have however crazy you may think it! They are very
friendly.

I love Britain, and if I could afford it, I would certainly love to
visit right now. But I would also love to visit other European nations,
so that I could offer my abject apologies for the immoral act of
aggression that our President and your Prime Minister have initiated in
Iraq. I'm sorry, as I'm certain that your message was well-intentioned,
but please remember that many Americans are NOT on the "side" of those
who began this war. (But I do support our troops...bring them home!!!)

Thanks for your post. And very good to know that there are many Americans
that are just as much opposed to this war as the vast majority of Europeans
and people living in other continents. Welcome to Europe, we know that there
are many Americans that are as anti-Bush (or even more so, as you have to
deal with his domestic policies as well!) as we are.

Here is one American who will be visiting next weekend, and for three weeks,
and who whole heartedly supports the president and prime minister. We will
never forget the support from the Brits and the Aussies. By the same token
we will not forget the treachery of the French. I am very sad that it is
necessary to fight this war to make the world, including Europe, safer but
the UN obviously failed. The latest polls show support for the president and
the war at about 71% in the US and about 58% in Britain. The naysayers are
in the minority but make a lot of noise and disrupt traffic, as if people
trying to get to work are the enemy.

What a shame, and with a name like Kennedy too. Your attitude will
likely not win any friends in Europe. Just try not to humiliate us any
further while you're over there. Bon voyage.

I think you are perfectly capable of doing that without my help.![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I did a search on you and the only things you post are off topic bullshit.
What kind of troll are you, still hanging around here if you hate europeans

Seems many are too busy gnashing teeth on this NG. I for one WILL be

If you are referring to moi, I love Europeans and travel to Europe at least
once a year. I only respond to other posts and the nice lady was trying to
encourage people to vist Britain. If you read the original post, which I
suspect you did not as internet reception is poor beneath bridges
, you
would know that it was on topic insofar as it concerned travel to Britain.

Is it just me, or didn't anyone else think that this OP was just a PR
