me too. I left when the Oracle was still forecasting global warming in
Delphi and the Met Office's long range forecasts were correct 50.5%
of the time.

Not forgetting MacFisheries across the road from my old office, and
Ferranti and
"Berni Inn which is the Manor was the first steak house around
Bracknell, good food and Mr & Mrs Rossi welcome hosts"
I remember having my going away pissup there, before catching a bus to
oblivion.

For Mixi ephemera collection -

"36.5% of Bracknell's popuplation is made up of Pizza delivery boys.
The many roundabouts were designed to allow them to 'get their knees
down'.

When you use standard quoting marks and stop your irritating attitude,
maybe we might start considering your post of the slight value?

What exactly uselful to travellers have you posted recently, apart from
confusing names for the Arc de Triomphe?

What is that you can't admit being wrong on such obvious a fact,
persisting on claiming righteousness based on a non-official website?

Just curious.

One might ask why you continue to read posts here. It can't be just
for the fun of correcting typos and punctuation surely?

I think I've been there. I did tend to go Wokingham way for my drinking, I
must admit.

I got my knee down on one roundabout once on my Kawasaki 1000,
unfortunately it was preceeded by a car-motorcycle interface situation.

    > Did you know Derek Monickendam, the dentist?
No, my dentist was in Woodley - for "historical" reasons.

Nowadays I wouldn't be surprised if locals get a leg over on the
roundabout :-)

What's the remark about putting Paris in a bottle? Another badly
translated French expression? :-)

Not as much as putting a Triomphe bra in a broom cupboard
(a bit like putting the cat amongst the pigeons).
