trenitalia website problem

I've mentioned in earlier posts that there is a problem with the
English language page on the www.trenitalia.it website. Someone posted
yesterday to say that if you go to the English page by typing
www.trenitalia.it/en it will actually work. I tried it today and found
that it does, to a certain extent.
This is a different page than the one you get if you choose the
English option from the home page. In fact, it has two different
frames where you can enter your itinerary. If you use the rightmost
frame, you will get the same error message that you get from the
"official" English language page.
If you use the leftmost frame, it will at least show you a selection
of trains that meet your itinerary criteria. But you can't go beyond
that page. If you click the shopping cart icon, you once again get the
error message. If you click on the lefthand link to select a
particular train, or if you click on any of the links at the top of
page to see the fare, you will get a page that's missing most of its
content and has no links to go further.
So, if you just want to see train schedules, try www.trenitalia.it/en
If you want anything else, you'll have to wait until they fix these
broken links. Given past experience, that could be a long time.

If you just want to look at Italian train schedules, the Germans make a
much better job of that. Plus (less than a month to go) the Trenitalia
site still hasn't got timings for beyond the 14 December timetable
change. The German site on the other hand has got Italian train timings
up to mid-June 2004.
