Default Travelling with canes in Germany?

Just to check, are there laws about how people with canes are supposed to
travel in Germany? Europeans like to make laws on everything, so I was just
checking. As far as I know, Germany is a civilized country, so kids aren't
going to steal canes and think it's funny or something.

You seem to have funny ideas about Europe...
Actually people in Germany use canes for pleasure as they hike quite a lot,
just see for yourself on weekends in the main railway stations.
Moreover they respect handicapped people and kids don't steal canes as it
seems to be in your own country...
Civilized is the right word applied to Germany, whatever the sense you give
to that word.
Sorry, but I guess it is much more civilized than your place, otherwise you
would not be asking such things in such a way.
When will US people stop considering the world as non civilized and look at
your own poor, pitiful country ???

Suprisingly real civilization is alive in the old world called
europe, and has been for many centuries, we also have trains and buses
for public transport, in addition to that new fangled electricty.
Just don't let you from a country that has president that's a cowboy,
the death penalty and holds foreign nationals without trial. and thinks
of themselves as civilized

According to the German law on walking aids (Bundesgehhilfengesetz -
GehG) you will need at least a class C permit (Krckstockausweis
Klasse C) to carry them. Upon arrival in Germany, your canes will be
locked up by the customs authorities until you will have picked up
your personal permit at the local Ordnungsamt (kind of a dpt. of
health and safety). Please bring you passport, documents certifying
that you have no criminal records, birth certificate (also of your
parents), some cash for the fees (around EUR 150), some time and take
a numer.

Well, a civilization needs some rules.

What a cute idea. I will tell my children later today and I am sure
that will have great fun trying it.

I wouldn't call those canes

Normally German kids get a laugh out of kicking the canes away whilst
an infirm tourist is leaning on them.

martin has moved to NL just for the free sexual pleasures of the land.
Sadly, he is really too old so that sex life remains in his fantasies and
his posts...
We'll soon open a rec.retired.apatrids.group for all these kooks.

I've never had a problem here. There are some countries in Asia or
Latin America where people will steal canes or throw stones at
cripples. Since Europeans hate Americans, I wanted to check if they
take it that far too.

I was talking to you at your level, since you seem to hate Americans
quite a bit.
