Default transfer to Charles de Gaul in early AM

When we arrive in Paris, we will be coming in at mid day and hopping
on the RER to get dropped off at Saint Michel metro stop seems like
our best bet (we're staying on Rue de Petit Pont).
When we leave, we have a 0700 flight out to London. From what I can
tell on the web, that will be too early to count on the RER getting us
there in time. What is our next best bet?
Taxi? There are 4 of us. Does anyone know an approximate rate from
Saint Michel area in Paris to CDG?
Shuttle? Some of the shuttle services advertise that they pick up 3
and 1/2 hours before the flight time. While I'll appreciate getting
there on time, the 0330 pick up time seems a bit excessive. Any
tips/recommendations/price info would be appreciated.
Thanks!
15 days and counting....

The shuttle services are iffy unless you allow a lot of time (they will
drive all over Paris to pick folks up and you may even pass your hotel
an hour later as we did) Cabs will be around 50US IIRC you might think
about spending the last night near the airport.

Mary,

I just did that trip in a cab and the price was EUR45 (not far off USD45).
But fitting 4 (even into the swish Merc which took me) is going to be a
challenge !

Can I ask whether you've considered taking the fast and relatively cheap
Eurostar express train from Paris to London ? 3 hours city centre to city
centre (Gare du Nord - Waterloo). Book at www.eurostar.com

I had to be at CDG at 7:30am last May 4, and took a taxi (I couldn't get
myself up any earlier for a train or other means of travel!). There are
mini-van taxis, which your hotel could arrange to have pick you up. There
might be a surcharge, but the extra convenience may be worth it. Also,
considering the lack of traffic at that hour, the trip out is much faster
than during the day, so it may cost less than you expect.

We always take Taxis Bleues, which can be reserved on the internet

(http://www.taxis-bleus.com/) up to 7 days in advance. One can reserve
up to 7 days, and vans or station wagons if on wants plenty of space.

They have never failed us but it is expensive to the airport, 50 euros
is not out of the question.

They have a English language selection flag on their web sites and one can
write in special messages.
