Yes there is, and it stops at the main stations in the centre of
Brussels. I always try www.bahn.de, but I'm sure the airport website
might have some information. There's also www.sncb.be. From memory, it's
pretty frequent- I think something like every 20 minutes during the day.

The train is OK. But it is almost like a step back in time, when you
go from this super duper modern airport and into some train material
that must be decades old.

Well, last time I was on my way to the airport there, I wasn't bothered
about the train (which was fine IMO)- more about the state of the
airline I was going to fly on (then Sabena) and hoping it would still be
afloat by the time I got to the airport. You tend not to be impressed
with fancy new buildings in such circumstances.

Betwwen 35 and 15 years. Both kinds if train that serve the line are
very robust train stock.
Same can be said of the MI79 stock that serves CDG. Though not very
luggage-friendly nor well-lit, it's simply the best Frenh commuter train
ever made.

Aha! I was stranded by Sabena!! I had to buy a new ticket to get home!
But I stole a blanket from them, which my dog uses, so I guess we are even.
